To keep the sweet strawberries as healthy as possible from the outset, a bright location with nutrient-rich soil and the choice of variety are important. This is because robust varieties tolerate fungal infestation better than others. In addition, fertilising with potash in spring generally makes strawberry plants more resistant. Nevertheless, strawberries are not immune to plant diseases and pests. Effective plant protection is essential in order to achieve a good yield of strawberries. In order for the strawberry plant to withstand the high infection pressure, the plant protection product must penetrate the foliage wall well so that the foliage is completely and evenly wetted. It is precisely this penetration that VICAR's radial blowers achieve thanks to a higher air speed combined with a lower air volume compared to other types of blower. The air, as the carrier of the crop protection agent, can thus be better channelled and placed, resulting in an efficient, drift-reducing and at the same time more economical application of the crop protection agent. The high-performance turbines can be conveniently operated from the tractor by means of hydraulic height adjustment, so that the spraying technology can be flexibly adapted to the conditions.
